100,000 Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 Units -- Mainichi
For those joining system war pools.
For those who prefer their office wagers to concern system sales rather than football scores, Mainichi.jp has a bit of insider info that could help with your PS3 sales predictions come the June 12 launch of Metal Gear Solid 4. The site reports that Sony will ship between 80,000 and 100,000 of the recently announced bundles that package a copy of standard version of MGS4 with a Dual Shock 3 and a 40 gigabyte PS3. While this bundle was announced prior to the Golden Week holiday period, this is the first we've heard of shipment targets.
For those attempting to keep track of all the PS3 hardware variations, there are actually two hardware bundles for Metal Gear Solid 4. The bundle of concern here is from Sony and will be available on June 12 for 49,800 yen in either Clear Black, Ceramic White or Satin Silver color variations. This is different from Konami's own hardware bundle, which includes the limited edition version of the game and a special "steel" color 40 gigabyte system. The Konami bundle costs 51,800 yen. Shipment targets have not been revealed, but this particular bundle is expected to be limited.
