World Hobby Fair exhibitor list announced
Nintendo showing off Mario Stadium, Sony shows off Little Big Planet
The semiannual World Hobby Fair is gearing up for its summer showing. Show organizers sent out notifications to the press over the weekend, offering a glimpse of what to expect.
This summer's event will have two stops: Tokyo and Sapporo. The Tokyo event will take place at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba on July 12 and July 13. The Sapporo event will take place on July 21, a holiday, at the Sapporo Dome.
Each day will be open from 9:00 to 16:00. As it is every year, admission is free.
Most of the big game companies will be showing product. Sony will have Clank & Ratchet for the PSP, Ratchet & Clank 5 for the PS2, and Little Big Planet for the PS3 on demo. Nintendo will have Mario Kart Wii and Super Mario Stadium up for demo. Its dear friend Pokemon is promising the latest news on Pokemon. It's unclear if this means the debut of a new game.
On the third party side, Konami will let attendees demo Survival Kids Wii and Nazo Nazo for the DS. Capcom will hold the latest Wave Master 2008 Summer tournament for Mega Man Star Force 2. Level-5 will have kiosks for Inazuma Eleven. Bandai Namco will show off Ultra Colosseum ahead of its release, with Hudson bringing out the WiiWare Bomberman game.
Event organizers expect attendance to reach 140,000 over the three days, with 110,000 making it out to Tokyo and 30,000 to Sapporo.
