CEDEC starts new technology awards
CEDEC Awards to be handed out at developers conference
The Computer Entertainment Suppliers Association (CESA) announced today a new set of awards to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the CESA Developers Conference (CEDEC). The organization will honor game developers through a new set of "CEDEC Awards," which will be presented at CEDEC 2008, scheduled from September 11 to September 13.
Focusing on the technological side of development, the CEDEC Awards will offer distinctions in four areas: programming and development environments, visual arts, game design, and sound. The firm will also hand out a special award of some form.
The aim is to promote the spread of game technology as part of the industry.
CESA will be accepting nominations until June 30. Any game that was released any time up to March 31 of this year is eligible.
The public voting form can be accessed off [a href=http://cedec.cesa.or.jp/]the CEDEC 2008 website[/a].
