The World Ends with You soundtrack gets domestic release

Square Enix caught in the reverse localization act

Square Enix is no stranger when it comes to releasing international versions of its titles in Japan. But today, the company announced an international remix of a different flavor.

Last year's Subarashiki Kono Sekai won't see a Japanese re-release of its English language counterpart -- at least not yet. But the soundtrack will as Square Enix delivers the Subarashiki Kono Sekai + The World Ends with You soundtrack on July 30.

This 2,000 yen (pre-tax) soundtrack includes arranged versions of the vocal tracks from last year's Subarashiki Kono Sekai Original Soundtrack, and adds in recordings from the game's English version, The World Ends with You. In all, you'll find 19 tracks on the disc.

Prior to the soundtrack's release, Square Enix will release one song through iTunes. On June 25, you'll be able to download Twister - The Twister through the service. This song will also be available through Square Enix's mobile site.
