Soul Calibur IV tops two million

Less than a week for worldwide sales feat

Namco Bandai announced today that Soul Calibur IV has topped the two million sold mark. The sales feat was reached on August 4, less than a week after the title's July 31 release (July 29 in North America).

As potential reasons for the success, the company made note of strong expectations from fans prior to release and critical praise following.

The company did not provide a breakdown between versions or regions. The title is available in Europe, Japan and North America on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
