Sega planning invite-only World Destruction event

Voice actors and artists to speak following game launch

Sega announced today plans for a fan appreciation event to commemorate the release of the gaming component of its media mix World Destruction project.

Set for October 5 at the Prince Hotel in Shinagawa, the World Destruction Committee: Appreciation Festival will feature talk events from the voice actors and artists involved in both the game and anime sides of the project. Attendees will be treated to secret insights into the development and live theme song performances.

(The official Japanese name of the event, Sekai Bokumetsu Enkai: Daikansha Matsurida Kuma!!, actually has the little "Kuma" modifier attached to the end, which fans of the anime version will recognize).

The event will be open to just 800 people. To get your name into a drawing you'll have to fill out a card that's included with either the World Destruction pre-order Premium Soundtrack CD bonus item or the first pressing of the World Destruction DVD Vol.1.

Sega is keeping things tight with the submission deadlines. Names must be submitted by midnight September 28, with lucky participants being notified by September 30.
