Dragon Quest V tops a million -- Enterbrain

Retailers aren't alone in their love of Dragon Quest.

Shipped and sold appear to have reached parity for Dragon Quest V. Famitsu.com, citing data from its publisher, Enterbrain, reports that as of August 10, Dragon Quest V has topped the million mark in sales.

The news hounds out there will probably remember a similar story directly from Square Enix on this matter back on July 30. That platinum plateau concerned shipped units.

Getting specific, the Famitsu.com report states that DQV has reached 1,023,883 units as of the 10th, the close of Enterbrain's latest tracking period, which will be reflected in data handed out by the firm later this week (or possibly next week due to the Obon summer break).

Enterbrain's stats lend support to the observation many have likely made that the DQV remake is performing better than last year's remake of DQIV, having crossed the million sales mark in four week's compared to IV's six weeks.
