Square Enix formally announces Ultimate Hits DS titles
Four games, including Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest
Following early retail reports that surfaced yesterday, Square Enix today formally announced the first DS entries in the Ultimate Hits budget series.
The budget lineup will take delivery of four DS titles on October 23: Slime Mori Mori Dragon Quest 2, Dragon Quest Monsters Joker, Final Fantasy VII Revenant Wing, and, as let slip yesterday by an online retailer, Final Fantasy III. Each game will sell for 2,940 yen (tax-inclusive).
Ultimate Hits is Square Enix's budget lineup. Since its start in 2005, the series has seen 40 games, selling a total of 1.7 million total software units. The four entries announced today represent the first time the DS has seen representation in the lineup, which has previously covered just PS2, PSP and Game Boy Advance.
