Microsoft opens registrations for Gamefest Japan 2008
Development event set for early September.
Microsoft opened up general registrations today for Gamefest Japan 2008, the Japanese leg of a game development summit targeting Xbox 360 and Games for Windows developers.
Set to take place on September 4 and 5 at the Hotel Grand Pacific Le Daiba in Tokyo, Gamefest Japan 2008 will offer development seminars for producers, planners and programmers. The seminars are open to both professionals and amateurs, although those hoping to take part will need to register at the XNA website.
Day one of the event will kick off with a speech from Akihiro Tashiro, head of the XNA Group at Microsoft Home & Entertainment. Titled (roughly translated into English) "Non Stop Gaming? Innovation does not stop," the speech is based off a similar speech given the American version of Gamefest 2008, which was held in Seattle on June 22 and 23.
