Release date set for Disaster
Pairing of Monolith and Nintendo set for later this month
Nintendo and Monolith's long-awaited pairing is at long last ready to ship. Nintendo has set a final date of September 25 for Disaster: Day of Crisis. The game will sell for 6,800 yen.
As the name implies, Disaster puts players in areas of play that have been affected by natural disasters like earthquakes, tsunamis and fires. In addition to dealing with the environment, players must save trapped survivors and take on groups of ruffians who are taking advantage of the calamity for evil doings.
The game has been somewhat of a mystery since its announcement last year. Back then, it got major attention as the first title produced by Xenosaga maker Monolith Soft as a Nintendo subsidiary.
