Following an official announcement earlier this week overseas, Q Entertainment today formally announced Meteos Wars for the domestic market.

The Xbox Live Arcade title is based off Q's 2005 DS game Meteos. As with that title, players gather groups of blocks and send them flying off into space and onto their opponent's play field.

The 360 version adds new special attack moves and online play. Players can also collect accessories in the game and create their very own alien character.

Meteos Wars will be available for download this October at 800 Microsoft Points.
