Square Enix details Tokyo Game Show plans
Dragon Quest IX, Final Fantasy XIII listed as video-only.
Square Enix opened up a [a href=http://www.square-enix.co.jp/tgs08/titles/]special Tokyo Game Show 2008 site[/a] today, offering up preliminary details on its lineup for the big October event.
Based on the information at the page, the company has twelve playable and eleven video-only titles planned for the show.
Here's the current list of playable titles:
- Snoopy DS
- Chocobo Mysterious Dungeon DS+
- Valkyrie Profile DS
- Pingu's Wonderful Carnival
- Dissidia: Final Fantasy
- Chocobo and the Magic Picture Book
- Kingdom Heart 358/2 Days
- Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep
- Dragon Quest Monsters Battle Road
- Dragon Quest Battle Road
- Itadaki Street Mobile
- Final Fantasy IV the After
And here's the list of video-only titles
- Chrono Trigger
- Dragon Quest IX
- Final Fantasy XIII
- Final Fantasy Versus XIII
- Final Fantasy Agito XIII
- The 3rd Birthday
- Infinite Undiscovery
- Song Summoner
- Final Fantasy XI

Last Remnant, Star Ocean 4, and Ellark (a mobile title) are listed as being shown at the event but aren't marked as either playable or video.
It should be noted that a number of games listed above will have already been released at the time of the event.
As usual, Square Enix has some other things planned for the event aside from the playable kiosks and video demonstrations. Owners of Dragon Quest V on the DS will be able to download three special items: Battle Road, Mireyu doll, and "Tongari Boushi." Goods and CDs will be sold at the booth, offering posters and more for Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy XIII and other titles. See the special site for a first look.
Outside of the current information, Square Enix usually has some surprises announced in the buildup to the show and, possibly, at the show as well. Interested parties should check back at the special site.
