Silent Hill Homecoming coming home to Japan

Playable version to be shown at Tokyo Game Show

Konami announced today that it will be giving a domestic release to Silent Hill Homecoming on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Previously known as Silent Hill 5, Homecoming is the latest entry in the Silent Hill series, which first debuted on the PlayStation in 1999. Players take control of Alex Shepherd and make use of a variety of weapons to deal with the creatures of fog-covered Silent Hill.

The title has already been released overseas. Konami did not give a specific release date for the Japanese versions, but it did disclose that the game has been given a D rating from CERO.

Those wanting to get an early sampling of the game without importing can head out to the Tokyo Game Show on the 11th or 12th, as it will be playable in Konami's booth.
