Tokyo Game Show organizer CESA experimented this year with an October showing for Japan's biggest gaming event, but next year the show will be returning to its usual holding month of September.
CESA announced today that next year's show will be held in late September. The organization is considering holding the event either from the 24th through the 27th or from the 25th through the 27th. The latter would be a return to a three day format for the event .
This year's TGS was, like last year's event, held over a four day period, with two days each for business-only and public access. Prior to 2007, the event was held over three days, with just one day for business purposes and two days for the public.
While this year's show had a record 193,040 visitors, the totals on the two business days were lower than those of last year.
