Nintendo plans DSi relief

100,000 more systems on the way next week.

The Nihon Keizai Sangyou Shimbun reports in its November 4 edition that Nintendo will be shipping 100,000 more DSi units the week after the system's release. The newspaper also reported first day shipments of 200,000 for the hardware, which reached retail on November 1.

These figures are all attributed to an investor speech given by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata on October 31. That speech was largely covered in the enthusiast gaming press for details given by Iwata regarding Nintendo's upcoming DSi Ware service.

Iwata also promised an international release for the DSi between Spring and Summer of 2009, according to the paper.
