Would you stay up all night for Kaz Hirai and Fumito Ueda?
Sony is celebrating the upcoming two year anniversary of Mainichi Issyo in style, with an online event that will feature guest appearances from some of the biggest names in the gaming world.
The Toro Station 24 Hour Marathon event will be held online starting at noon on November 15 and continuing through noon on the 16th. During this period, Sony will update the Toro Station section of Mainichi Issyo every hour with new content.
The updates will consist of Toro Station hosts Toro and Kuro moving about Tokyo. At key checkpoints, they'll end up running into major guests, including the following game industry personalities:
- Fumito Ueda (Sony Computer Entertainment)
- Hitoshi Sakimoto (Basiscape)
- Takahashi Meijin (Hudson)
- Toshihiro Nagoshi (Sega)
- Daisuke Miyake (baseball player)
- Hirokazu Hamamura (Enterbrain)
- Kaz Hirai (Sony Computer Entertainment)
- Akihiro Hino (Level-5)
- Hiroi Ouji (Red Entertainment)
Sony is also promising appearances from a variety of game characters, although it hasn't shared specifics.
Following each update, past updated content will disappear for good, so interested parties will want to try their best to spend the full day with Toro and friends.
The PSP version of the game, Mainichi Issyo Portable, will also be taking part in the celebration. Sony will be distributing highly rated past episodes of Toro Station for view in the recently released portable title.
