D3 posts loss for first half of year
Company expects lower profits for full year.
D3 Publisher shared today its earnings statement for the second quarter, covering April 1 through September 30.
Sales for the period were at 4,056 million yen, up 2% over the same period last year. The company posted an operating loss of 1,358 million yen, greater than last year's loss of 306 million yen.
In its consumer games business, the company shipped a total of 2.03 million pieces of software over the period, bringing in sales of 3,476 million yen, a drop of 1.7% from the previous term. This resulted in a loss for this sector of 1,624 million yen.
For the full year ended March 31, 2009, the company expects sales to reach 15,000 million yen, and operating profits to reach 650 million yen, down 39.2% from last year.
