Dissidia Final Fantasy gets a soundtrack

Limited edition with Amano artwork to be available.

Square Enix shared details today on a soundtrack that it has in the works for Dissidia Final Fantasy.

Set for release on December 24, the Dissidia Final Fantasy Original Soundtrack consists of two CDs. Similar to Dissidia itself, the soundtrack includes music from the entire Final Fantasy series. Fans can also look forward to new songs and arrangements from Square Enix music staff members like Takeharu Ishimoto, Tsuyoshi Sekito, and Minoru Tsuchihashi.

An exact track list has yet to be announced. Such details will likely follow at a special soundtrack page opened up today off the Square Enix official site.

Square Enix is preparing two versions of the soundtrack. In addition to a standard version, retailing for 3,000 yen, a 3,500 yen first press version will be on offer, shipping in a special sleeve with artwork from Yoshitaka Amano. The musical content of both versions is the same.

Square Enix will offer two versions of the soundtrack.

Dissidia itself is set for release on December 18.
