Dissidia Final Fantasy Potion: Mixing Chaos and Cosmos
Dengeki PlayStation editors get experimental
I haven't picked up any of those Dissidia Final Fantasy Potion drinks yet. And, to be totally honest, I probably won't... at least not for the purpose of actually drinking them.
For those who haven't been keeping up, the Dissidia Final Fantasy Potion drinks are the latest collaborative beverage effort between Square Enix and Suntory. Released today, the full collection of drinks includes sixteen 200 yen cans, split eight and eight between Cosmos and Chaos series.
Each series has a different beverage, but the real attraction here is the can, each of which features a different character.
This is the third time Square Enix and Suntory have teamed up. The first time was for the Final Fantasy XII Point in 2006. The two hooked up again for the Final Fantasy VII Potion last year, commemorating both the Final Fantasy VII anniversary and the release of Crisis Core.
Those wanting a close-up look at the drinks can get it through this Dengeki PlayStation Online article. Here's the basic gist of the article.

The article states that there's a blurb at the official Potion site which says "Something may happen if you mix the Cosmos and Chaos beverages together." So, the site editors did just that. And the result? The color changed. Which, I think, should be expected, since the two versions of the drink have different colors to begin with.
In addition to observing the colors, the site also put the the two drinks, along with their blend, to a taste test. Chaos has a muscat taste. Cosmos has a grapefruit taste and also a stronger kick from its carbonation. Together, the two taste... well, the editors apparently couldn't pin it down.
