Race Driver Grid bus hits Tokyo, Chiba

Promotional bus to feature 15 monitors blasting out game footage.

Code Masters is the latest company to embrace the advertising tactic known as the "wrapping bus." The company announced today that Race Driver Grid will be promoted through an ad bus in anticipation o the racer's 1/15 release.

The Race Driver Grid bus will begin running for one week starting January 11. Unlike static busses that have been used to promote games like Metal Gear Solid 4, White Knight Chronicles, and LittleBigPlanet, the Race Driver Grid bus will feature an array of 50 inch plasma monitors, showing off footage of the game. The bus will have 15 monitors total, beaming out high quality footage of the PS3 and Xbox 360 racer.

Code Masters has prepared one bus for the promotion. It will run from 14:00 to 22:00 in Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ikebukuro and the Kaihim Makuhari areas. The latter, while outside of Tokyo, is the location of the Tokyo Auto Salon car event, where the game will be shown in playable form.
