Sega shares final release date for Sonic & The Black Knight
Sonic's newest adventure launches simultaneously worldwide.
Sega announced today a final release date for Sonic & The Black Knight. The blue blur's Wii-exclusive adventure, known in Romanized form as Sonic to Ankoku no Kishi, will see release on March 12, carrying a price of 6,800 yen.
Sonic and the Black Knight offers a major twist on Sega's mascot series, placing Sonic and friends in the world of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. Sonic, having been summoned to this new world in order to thwart the plans of King Arthur, adventures as an apprentice knight. The game combines the high speed action for which the series is known with new "sword actions," which make use of Sonic's new sword both for attacking foes and for navigating the world.
Overseas, where the game was first announced, a release is planned for March 10, making this an international release.
