Oboro Muramasa gets a release date

Marvelous updates official site with new trailer.

Marvelous Entertainment shared today a final release date for Oboro Muramasa. The action RPG will hit the Wii on April 9, carrying a price of 7,140 yen.

Oboro Muramasa is a 2D action RPG in which players play as either a ninja or a kunoichi and work through side scrolling levels. Developed by Vanillaware, who previously brought Odin Sphere to the PS2, the title has drawn considerable attention due to its vivid hand-drawn visuals. Overseas, the game is scheduled to be released under the name Muramasa: The Demon Blade.

Coinciding with this announcement, Marvelous has given the game's official site a full refresh. Notable among the updates is a new promotional video, which can be accessed in the site's movie section. The gameplay-filled movie is listed as the first promotional PV, suggesting that more will be on the way.

Marvelous also opened up an official blog for the game today. The blog's first post, written by Marvelous Entertainments' Yasohachi and Magorou, promises weekly updates for the official site along with the latest information from magazines directly on the blog.

The blog post also provides teaser details on a pre-order bonus item for the game. Players can apparently look forward to an item offering "gorgeous" visuals and other materials for the game. The exact nature of the bonus item was not revealed, but the blog suggests that interested parties reserve to make sure they get the limited item.
