Tasty Monster Hunter Treats (and the tools for eating them too!)

The latest in video game food.

Fancy yourself some Meraru Honey Toast? Of course you do! Phantom Beast Cheese Quatro Pizza? Hell yeah! Old Dragon Blood?

Uhh...

These are just a few of the items that will be appearing in Capcom's Monster Hunter Banquet G promotion.

Monster Hunter Banquet G is a 2009 installment of last summer's Monster Hunter Banquet, a tie-up with Pasela Resort karaoke restaurants that offered patrons a special menu themed in the Monster Hunter series.

The summer event had food items like this:

[end_preview /]

Yes, that's the Monster Hunter series banner item "well cooked meat" in front. The onigiri in back is five times the size of a normal onigiri. I can't even imagine eating five onigiris in one sitting.

Those items are back this year, but will be joined by these:

That last one is Meraru Honey Toast. Aside from the Meraru face and the marshmallows (yeck!), it looks just like the giant Honey Toast desert that's on Pasela's regular menu. Yes, it's a giant piece of bread. And it's damn good too! You'll have to take my word for it... this is required eating (but only if you happen to be in a Pasela shop -- don't go out of your way or anything).

Full details on the products can be found in this story on the main channel. Pasela will also be offering a variety of Monster Hunter goods, including chopsticks, aprons, and bowls.

According to Capcom's press release announcing the new items today, the new menu was supervised by the Monster Hunter development team and created by the "top rate chefs at Pasela." What top rate chef wouldn't jump at the opportunity of working at a karaoke restaurant?
