Koei plans Shin Sangoku Musou Multi-Raid demos
Sample Dynasty Warriors offshoot at demo event and through downloadable demo.
The latest Shin Sangoku Musou (Dynasty Warriors) game is a bit different from past entries in the series. But fans needn't worry about getting a big surprise on release day, as Koei detailed today a couple of ways to try-before-you-buy for Shin Sangoku Musou Multi Raid.
The company will kick off a series of retail demo events for the title tomorrow (a holiday). The fun begins in Shinjuku and Akihabara, continuing in subsequent days and weeks to shops in Osaka and Kawasaki. For an exact schedule, see the Multi Raid official site.
Those who can't make it out to these events will get a chance to try in advance thanks to a downloadable demo. PlayStation Store and the Multi Raid official site will offer the demo starting February 17. Koei is also planning on offering UMD versions of the demo at game shops.
Shin Sangoku Musou Multi Raid (set to be known in the English-speaking world as Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce) retains the "ikki tousen" play of past Shin Sangoku Musou titles but adds in support for four player simultaneous multi-play. A release is set for February 26.
