Konami details AOU 2009 lineup
Three upcoming Bemani games set for playable showcase.
Konami shared details today on the Bemani section of its booth for the upcoming AOU 2009 event.
The company will have a mix of released and unreleased titles at the event. Three titles in current release have made the cut for playable showcase: Beatmania IIDX 16 Empress, DanceDanceRevolution X, jubeat. Joining these will be pop'n music 17 The Movie, GuitarFreaks V6 Blazing!!!!, and DrumMania V6 Blazing!!!!, respectively set for late February, April, and April releases.
For the in-operation titles, players will get a chance to try out special songs, original note types, and music from the overseas versions.
Konami has some bonus items in store for those who sample the games. Anyone who plays any one of the games will be able to download a set of five Bemani series ring tones. In addition, players will be given a stamp for each game they sample. Those who collect two of these can take part in a raffle to win a special Bemani Original Tumbler.
The company will also hold couple of stage events. On the press and business day, attendees can look forward to the Bemani Top Ranker Finals EX at AOU stage, in which employees of amusement facilities throughout Japan compete in three Bemani games. The 21st will feature an internet radio recording session with Bemani artists along with the Bemani Top Ranker Super Play stage, providing a glimpse at play sessions from top players.
AOU will be held on the 20th and 21st. The 20th is for professionals only, with the 21st open to the public.
