Xbox 360 Resident Evil 5 commercials to feature Chiaki Kuriyama and Yoichi Nukumizu

Commercial campaign to kick off on the 20th.

Microsoft and Capcom have some major start power lined up for the Xbox 360 version of Resident Evil 5 (known domestically as Biohazard 5). The former announced today that domestic commercials for the 360 version of the game will feature Chiaki Kuriyama and Yoichi Nukumizu.

Kuriyama is a popular young actress, model and talent who appeared in the role of Gogo Yubari in 2003's Kill Bill. Nukumizu is an actor with a long list of movies, dramas, and commercials on his rap sheet.

The commercial campaign will show the two stars playing Resident Evil 5's co-op mode.

Both stars shared comments on their roles in a statement issued today by Microsoft.

Said Kuriyama, "I've played Biohazard in the past, but as this is the latest entry in the series, I was looking forward to the release. A little bit prior to the shoot, I was able to play it. The visuals are so beautiful, to the point that you forget it's a game."

Nukumizu, who will apparently play as Chris during the commercial's gaming segments, said "As the hero who helps Ms. Kuriyama, I was able to play one of my coolest roles ever. In order to not lose out to Ms. Kuriyama, who's beautiful and cool just like Chris's partner Sheva Alomar, I hope to show everyone quality play."
