Sega teams with Seifuku Distillery for Yakuza 3 sake
Bottled liquor to see release first in Okinawa
Sega's latest tie-up for Ryu ga Gotoku 3 (Yakuza 3) is strictly adults only. The company announced today that it has teamed up with Okinawa's Seifuku Distillery for two alcoholic beverages to be released simultaneous with the game tomorrow.
The two drinks are Ryu ga Gotoku Ryukyu Awamori Jikaseifuku, a 720 milliliter bottle of 25 proof Awamori (an Okinawan shochu), and Ryu ga Gotoku Seifuku Umeshu, a 720 milliliter bottle of 12 proof umeshu. These will be priced respectively at 1,100 yen and 1,600 yen.
Both are based off previously released beverages, which Sega's statement noted have commanded high popularity.
Okinawa, one of the major settings for Ryu ga Gotoku 3, will get the bottles first, on the 26th. National release will follow on March 2.
