Marvelous details Valhalla Knights updates

Following last week's quiet announcement of Valhalla Knights 2: Battle Stance, Famitsu.com shared today a more complete look at the game.

As previously announced, Valhalla Knights 2: Battle Stance is an updated version the PSP action RPG Valhalla Knights. In addition to being offered at a lower price than most PSP games, the game promises a number of new features, including a new battle system, new items, and new quests.

The new battle system is titled "Active Action Battle." This new system promises a greater focus on action, along with a drop in your party count from six to four, resulting in a better display of the unique properties of each character and job. The game also promises adjustments to party member and enemy AI.

One new feature for the battle system is the "Issei Attack System," or "Simultaneous Attack System." When your party consists of three or four characters, you can bring everyone together in for a group attack. These attacks promise to feature new effects and flashy camera work.

Players will also find plenty of new content to help extend the life of the game. The game promises a variety of new quests, over 40 new items and weapons, and a number of new boss-level monsters. The "Nameless Tower" from the original Valhalla Knights 2 has seen an increase in its floor count from 10 to 50 levels.

Strictly for the fans, the game now has a new gallery mode which features movies from Valhalla Knights 1 and 2. This mode reads in the save data for the two titles and opens up new movies according to your progress.

Other changes could make the game more convenient for players. The status screen has been refreshed and made easier to view. Players will now find new "Gate Crystals" located around the world, which can be accessed for instant transport to previously visited areas. The game's tutorial mode has been improved and promises to help players who are unaccustomed to the Valhalla series or action RPGs.

Valhalla Knights 2 will be released on June 25 at 3,990 yen. Additional screens can be seen in the Famitsu.com report.
