Xbox 360 tops one million domestically -- Enterbrain
PS3 tops three million.
The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 both saw major milestones this past week, Famitsu.com reported today citing data from Enterbrain.
For the 360, the big event was the system's one millionth console. Over the week ending March 29, the system's domestic life to date sales reached 1,001,191 units. This feat comes three years and four months after the system's December 10, 2005 release.
The PS3 also crossed a major sales plateau: the three million mark. PS3's life to date sales as of the 29th stand at 3,009,395 units. The system was first released on November 11, 2006.
A couple of hit games also reached milestones last week. Capcom's Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G topped the three million sold mark, with its standard and budget editions combining for 3,008,554 units life to date. Nintendo's first Brain Age game topped the five million mark, becoming the second DS title to do so after New Super Mario Bros.. Since release, the game has sold 5,003,391 units.
