CESA expands CEDEC
This year's event to see new location, more sessions.
The Computer Entertainment Suppliers Association (CESA) shared today final details on CEDEC 2009, the 11th holding of the domestic equivalent of America's Game Developers Conference. The event is being expanded upon this year, with a new location and more sessions.
This year's event will be held in partnership with Nikkei BP. As with last year, the event will be held in September, this time from September 1 through September 3. The location of the event has been moved, however, to the more expansive Pacifico Yokohama.
The new space will be used for additional lecture opportunities, with plans calling for 150 session, 1.5 times that of last year. The event will also see an updated display space for development solutions and products.
CESA is currently seeking speakers for the event. Interested parties can check the CEDEC official website (available in English). The cutoff for applications is May 29.
Attendee pricing information and a schedule of lectures will be announced in early July.
Last year's CEDEC was held between September 9 and September 11 at a school in Tokyo's Shibuya Ward and saw 103 sessions and 18,000 attendees. Both totals were the highest in CEDEC history.
