Last month, Nintendo kicked off its contest program for Game of the Year (aka Rittai Picross) with a contest themed around "Spring." That is to say, submissions were supposed to have a Spring theme.

The theme for this month's contest is a bit easier to grasp. As detailed today at the Rittai Picross news page, this month's theme is bugs and plants.

Puzzle makers can make their submissions from today through May 25. The winning submission will be announced in mid June.

The examples shown at Nintendo's info page are ladybug (left) and azalea (right).

The winner of last month's contest will be announced in the middle of this month. Winning submissions end up being made available to the masses in download form.
