Latest PlayStation Network Update
Resistance costumes hit Japan. Echochrome gets an update.
Here's what's new on the Japanese PlayStation Network, as detailed by Sony yesterday.
As reported earlier, Game Archives took delivery of three games (5/13). Here are the details along with screens to refresh your memory of how terrible original generation PlayStation games looked:
- Final Fantasy Tactics
- From Square Enix. The first simulation RPG for the Final Fantasy series features over 20 jobs and over 400 abilities. The Game Archives version does not include the Square Preview 2 content that was bundled with the original Tactics release
- ZEUS Carnage Heart Second
- From Art Dink. In this second Carnage Heart game to hit Game Archives, you create a unique pilotless Overkill Engine and guide it in battle. The game offers a number of updates over its predecessor, including a story part, improved visuals, and better control
- Arubarea no Otome
- From Extreme. This girls-oriented love simulation has players work to become a "Holy Maiden."
These are available for play on both the PSP and PS3. Tactics costs an unusually high 1,000 yen, with the other two going for the more standard 600 yen.

Also reported earlier, Sony has a new quest for White Knight Chronicles on the way. The details are unchanged from before, and unfortunately Sony didn't share high res screens this time, so that's all I have to say about this.
Also also reported earlier, the PS3 version of Echochrome is getting an expansion pack on the 21st. The expansion adds PS Eye and YouTube support. See the official PlayStation Channel at Nico Nico Video for a video preview.
Sony has at long last opened up on Qruton. There aren't any new details to report beyond my initial report from last week, but I have put up some high res screens.
Also on the way are a few download content updates for Western titles. Killzone 2 will get its Steel and Titanium Pack on the 28th. The content, released overseas on April 30, is being priced at 800 yen here.
Resistance 2's S.R.P.A costumes will be available for HOME starting today (May 14). Costume elements include legs (100 yen), body (100 yen), gloves (50 yen) and boots (50 yen).
