Blood of Bahamut Dated

Square Enix at long last gave a final release date today to Blood of Bahamut. The multiplayer action RPG will arrive on August 6, carrying a slightly inflated price point of 5,980 yen (most DS games cost 5,040 yen).

Blood of Bahamut has players team up in groups of four to do combat with giants that are based around classic Square Enix summons like Bahamut and Sheeva. The game offers over 130 missions split between story and free missions. All of these are playable both in solo and multiplayer mode.

Coinciding with this announcement, the Blood of Bahamut official site saw its first update in months. I'm not sure what's new, but there is an attractive -- and totally unskippable -- trailer that opens up the site. If you're not pumped for Square Enix's latest DS offering, the trailer is recommended viewing.
