Hideo Kojima Speaks About New Metal Gear Solid Game
Well... about the wacky Famitsu interview, at least.
Volume 245 of the Hideo Channel Radio podcast hit today. Given the timing, you're probably expecting some talk relating to the new Metal Gear game. Well that's exactly what you'll get... only not about the game itself exactly.
The episode runs about five minutes long and features Kojima, regular member Jiro Ooishi, and, as a special guest, Enterbrain president Hirokazu Hamamura. Mostly, it's just Kojima and Hamamura patting themselves on the back for a job well done with the heavily censored F◯M◯◯◯U interview that officially hit retail today. Hamamura conducted the Famitsu interview, as he often does with major guests.
There's one point of particular note. If I'm hearing correctly -- and there's some some wacky ho-down music playing in the background for most of the broadcast, so maybe I'm not hearing correctly -- they appear to come to the conclusion that there are some places in the interview where the censor circles don't match up with the character counts.
In other words, if you were trying to fill in the blanks, YOU'RE S◯◯D!
But you'll be getting some help with your tireless circle matching soon. Kojima reveals in the broadcast that the content of the censored marks will be shared through Famitsu.com leading up to E3.
Aside from that, I don't think there's anything of actual interest in the conversation if you're looking for "solid" (ha, ha, ha -- always works!) Metal Gear Next information. There might have been a couple of points of note, but they were bleeped out.
Just five more days. Just five more days.
