Two major US PlayStation 3 releases are on the way to Japan. Sony gave official titles and teaser sites to the Japanese versions of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time.

Uncharted 2 (I'm writing about it first because the first is my favorite game so far this generation) will lose its number and be known here as Uncharted: Ougontou to Kieta Sendan. This translates literally to "The Golden Sword and the Missing Ship Fleet." Glad they went with Among Thieves!

In contrast, Ratchet and Clank is getting a number added to its name. The game will be known here as the far less imaginative Ratchet & Clank Future 2.

Uncharted 2 hits Japan this Fall at a currently undisclosed price. Access the game's official site for screens and a Japanese language trailer (it's just the original debut trailer of Nathan waking up in the airplane).
