Nintendo's New Tingle Site Goes Live

A teaser site fitting of the Tingle name.

Nintendo kicked off its big Tingle tease today with the opening of what I believe may be the company's first ever mystery teaser site (if I'm wrong, let me know!).

If you don't usually keep up with the whole Famitsu flying get thing, earlier this week a teaser ad leaked out of Famitsu showing what appeared to be a new DS game starring Zelda mascot character Tingle. Along with a single sprite of a floating Tingle, the ad listed the Japanese phrase "FAIRY?", a CERO rating of A, and a DS logo.

The mystery page at the Nintendo official site contains three corners. To the lower right, there's a feedback form which lets you submit your concerns (the site promises to not share any of the information aside from your HP). A television icon to the lower left promises the start of a broadcast of some form on June 18 (Thursday).

The current main area of content is in the center. Click on the bell, and a fortune teller will appear. Click on the cards, shuffle them a bit (hold your mouse down and move the cards around), click on the text at the bottom when you're done, then select one of the five cards, and you'll get some random message which may or may not contain clues as to the nature of the upcoming game announcement.

As far as teaser sites go, Nintendo seems to be doing a pretty good job with this one. Let's see what brand of DS game gets unveiled next week.
