Sega Seeks Host Club Stories for Yakuza Sequel
Real or make believe, you could contribute to the next Ryu ga Gotoku!
Been to a host club? Got a seedy story that you like to tell your mates? Then Sega wants to hear from you!
Following up on a promotion that sought ladies to pose as hostess club models for the new Yakuza, Sega is holding a second promotion for the game. This one asks for user submitted host club stories.
The only requirement Sega has in place is that the story be centered around a host club -- or, to be more specific, a Japanese-style "kyaba-kura" club that's featured in the Yakuza games. The story can be fiction or non-fiction. Submitters can be pro or amateur.
Submissions are being accepted from today through July 20. Sega will select the top three submissions and give its writers some as-yet-undisclosed original goods. From these three, at least one -- and possibly all three -- will actually make it into the game, with the writer's pen name appearing in the credits.
For more details on submission procedures, see Sega's promotional site.
As for the new Yakuza game itself, Sega has still not shared formal details. In an early May interview with Famitsu, series producer Toshihiro Nagoshi said that the new game would be set in modern times and that it would be for the PlayStation 3.
