Dragon Quest IX Gets Special Customer Service Hours

This is an important notice that you really should read.

A retailer in Shibuya counts down the days until release.

Dragon Quest IX is just four days away from its Saturday release, and you know what that means! That's right! Extended hours for the Square Enix information center!

Sorry if you were expecting something more dramatic.

Square Enix posted notice today at its support page regarding extended hours in anticipation of DQIX's release. The support center, which is usually closed on Saturdays and Sundays, will run from 11:00 to 19:00 on both days this weekend.

This type of special treatment isn't reserved for DQIX only. Square Enix held special customer service hours for the Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days release as well (yes, I wrote about it too). As it was then, the line is open to questions about any home video game.

The information center will presumably be more busy for DQIX than it was for Kingdom Hearts, especially since the latter will likely sell two to three million units over a couple of days. To ware the staffs' patience down, try speaking to them in English and, if they are unable to respond, suggest that they try out one of the DS's many fine English training programs.

If that doesn't work, complain about the whole single save file affair. I bet they aren't expecting any calls about that.
