One Million Budget Monster Hunters
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite tops 3.5 million on strong continued sales of budget version.
One of the best signs of Monster Hunter's success of late has been the unmatched sales drive of the budget version of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G. The PSP the Best version of the game has remained a permanent fixture in the weekly top ten, and often the top five, since its October 30, 2008 release, and today Capcom announced that it has reached total shipments of one million units.
The full priced version of the game was released on March 27, 2008. Total shipments for the game, both full priced and budget, have crossed the 3.5 million mark. This is the highest sales figure for the PSP.
Overseas, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G is known as Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.
