Sega's Block People Hits Arcades
Stack up blocks in Sega's latest arcade revolution.
Looking to play one of the more unique arcade games in a while? Then head out to your local game center today to try out Sega's Block People. The deluxe arcade unit saw official release today and should be appearing at game centers nationwide.
Block People has players stack up physical blocks against a screen in order to guide little orange "Block People" characters around a stage. The main part of the game is set up as a series of small challenges, requiring that you make the Block People gather fruit or touch numbered icons in a certain order, all under constraint of time.
Due to the use of physical blocks as a controller, the game can be played by as many people who can fit in front of the screen. Sega has also included competitive multiplayer support between two cabinets.
Block People saw its playable debut earlier this year at the AOU Amusement Machine Show.
