Looking for a first glimpse at Ys Seven gameplay? Then Falcom delivered just what you wanted today with a first promotional movie for the game.
I've uploaded it to YouTube for easy viewing.

The trailer starts off by noting that it's been 20 years since the birth of the Ys series. As the gameplay footage kicks off, the text reads "Ys action goes to a new dimension." Later, the trailer promises new action that will break through walls of the series and also makes mention of the series' first party play.
After a quick glimpse at some of the characters, we're given a glimpse at the game's item synthesis and mini quest systems. One sample quest has you deliver Tia's axe to the village elder. Another requires that you search for different types of water for making delicious food. It appears that you can take on multiple quests simultaneously, as a status screen in the trailer shows two quests being in progress at the same time.
Following some intense boss combat, the trailer closes off by promises the largest scale dramatic action RPG the series has ever seen.
Stick around through the very end of the trailer for a glimpse at a couple of pre-order bonuses. As previously detailed, Ys Seven buyers will get the Ys Music History CD and a visual file for the upcoming Legend of Heroes 7 (whose platform still hasn't been announced -- but we all know it's PSP!).
All the crazy text at the very end is about the super special limited edition version of the game, which includes a drama CD.
Ys Seven hits on September 17.
