Pokemon Promotes Heart Gold and Soul Silver with Original Anime
Free rental of 25 minute anime through Tsutaya outlets.
Here's a little bit of Pokefun that's going to require a trip to Japan for Pokemaniacs throughout the world. Pokemon Company and national retail chain Tsutaya are teaming up to promote the upcoming September 12 release of Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver through an original Pokemon anime that will be available for free rental through Tsutaya shops for a limited time, from 8/14 to 9/30.
The 25-minute anime is titled (translated by me into English -- this isn't official!) Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky -- The Final Adventure Surrounding Time and Darkness. As the name might suggest, it's based around April's Explorers of the Sky followup to the DS's first two Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness. The rental DVD also includes a promotional video for Heart Gold and Soul Silver.
Tsutaya and Pokemon held a similar promotional campaign back an April with an anime based around Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness.
