EA Gets a YouTube Channel. EA Japan.

Check out footage of all your favorite Western games in a site that's navigatable in Japanese.

When in Japan, do what the Japanese do. And the Japanese publishing community is all about special YouTube movie channels to help promote their content to people who'd rather not be accosted by CPU-killing Flash-heavy official sites.

EA got in on the act today with the start of the ElectronicArtsJapan Channel at the video sharing giant. The channel currently hosts vids for Battlefield 1943, Need For Speed Shift HD, FIFA 2010 World Class Soccer, and EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis.

As of this writing, 20 people have registered at the Channel. And one person has befriended EA.

Actually, the "friend" is TheYokozuna64. You can visit The Yokozuna64's video channel to see promotional videos for EA Sports Active Personal Trainer.

EA is now a member of an exclusive club that includes the likes of Square Enix, Sega, and andriasang.com (I swear I'll start actually posting videos soon... I've got tons of commercials!).

Of course, the real action in Japanese video sharing is on Nico Nico. Perhaps that's EA's next target.
