Dissidia Final Fantasy International Version Set for Release
Download and retail UMD version planned at PSP go launch.
News of a new version of Dissidia Final Fantasy was leaked out of Jump last week. Today, Square Enix made it official. Last year's Final Fantasy fighting game is making a return, timed with the release of the PSP go.
The new release is titled Dissidia Final Fantasy Universal Tuning. The surname is just a new way of saying "International." The re-release includes all the updates and adjustments that were made for the overseas release of Dissidia, tuned for Japanee release. This includes English voice overs with Japanese subtitles.
Players can look forward to a time-attack style arcade mode, where you can play through the game without concerning yourself with character building. Owners of the original will find that they can reuse their save data with the re-relase.
Perhaps the biggest update will be the availability of a download version. The game will be available as a standard UMD release costing ¥5,040, but those who don't mind buying a bunch of bits will get a discount to ¥4,000.
Both versions hit on November 1, the same day as the PSP go's launch.
