Silent Hill Homecoming Japanese Release Cancelled
Konami asks players to wait for future titles.
Sad news for those who were for some reason waiting to play Silent Hill Homecoming in Japanese. Konami updated the game's official site today with a notice stating that it has cancelled the Japanese release. The page did not provide a reason for the cancellation.
Silent Hill Homecoming, previously known under the name Silent Hill 5, was developed by overseas developer Double Helix Games and released to North America in September 2008. The game's Japanese release was originally announced last year ahead of the Tokyo Game Show.
All is not lost for domestic Silent Hill fans, though. The page says to look forward to future titles in the series.
