The Tower is a Series of DSi Ware Games

One coin tower campaign encourages you to pay one coin for a game of Tower.

Did you find it a bit suspicious when the DSi Ware version of Vivarium's Sim Tower-like The Tower turned out to be just the final level from the full The Tower DS game? Why would they release just one level and not go the Nintendo route and release all the levels in different download packs?

It turns out that this may have been the plan all along. Gpara offered a first look yesterday at two additional DSi Ware entries in the series to follow The Tower DS Classic.

First up is The Tower DS: Build a First Rate Hotel in a Back Alley (the English name translation is my own -- and yes, it's probably off a good ways). As the name suggests, your goal is to build a first rate hotel in an area that might not be too accommodating to high class guests. A release is set for September 30.

October 21 will see the release of The Tower DS: Challenge the Suburb Station Market!! Large Shopping Center. Again, the name says it all. You'll need to build a shopping center in front of a suburban train station.

I'm not totally sure that these are pulled directly from the full The Tower DS retail release. Gpara says that they're based off the scenarios in that game but with a focus on certain aspects -- hotel management in the former, and shopping center management in the latter.

Both games fall under what appears to be a new campaign:

The text next to the building says "One Coin Download Version Tower," apparently noting that the games each cost ¥500, which is available as a single coin here in Japan. Of course, the campaign forgets that DSi Ware games aren't actually purchased with coins.
