Dragon Quest Storms Tokyo Game Show
New mobile conversion of Dragon Quest III to be joined by DS revival of Dragon Quest IV.
With part IX already out and still topping the charts, you might have been expecting a Dragon Quest reprieve from this year's TGS. Not likely! Square Enix updated its Tokyo Game Show 2009 special site today with notice of two Dragon Quest games for the show.
Dragon Quest VI will be making its DS debut on the show floor. The third and final entry in the "Tenku" line of Dragon Quest games will appear in playable form, despite the fact that Square Enix hasn't said anything about the game following its initial announcement. The special TGS page Square Enix has set up for the game lists it as release date and price TBA.
An even bigger surprise (well, ignoring the usual Jump leaks from last week) is Dragon Quest III. The Famicom classic is coming to mobile platforms for release on DoCoMo sets this Fall. TGS attendees will be able to sample the game in the NTT DoCoMo booth.
Both games will also see trailers at the show.
In addition to these games Square Enix added late last week Cross Treasures to its exhibit list. The DS RPG, a tie-up production between V Jump and Square Enix, will appear in video form.
