Final Fantasy XIII Graces Top of Square Enix TGS Pamphlet

Company promises lots of demo stations and latest footage in the Open Theater.

Anyone who's attended a Tokyo Game Show will tell you that one must get freebie is the information booklet Square Enix hands out to booth visitors.

This year's booklet will be easy to identify:

The booklet is titled "Square Enix Lineup for TGS2009, and as you can see, a very familiar image of Final Fantasy XIII's Lightning graces the cover.

The image -- which, as you can see, is a sample -- was shared today at Square Enix's TGS blog. No, I didn't know they had a TGS blog either. Actually, the blog just kicked off today. Rather than a blog, the company refers to it as a "Photo Report."

Inoino, of the Square Enix PR department, writes in the blog post that Square Enix's booth will have a large number of demo corners. Additionally, it will house the usual Open Megatheater, showing the latest game footage.

In previous interviews, Square Enix super producer Tetsuya Nomura said that the company would not be holding a Closed Theater this year. The Closed Theater, which is totally closed off from outside view, is usually where all the top trailers are shown. The Open Theater, usually visible by passersby, tends to show off the lesser product.

The blog post also says that Square Enix will be giving away a special item this year to Square Enix Members. This is something the company does every year. Details will be announced at the Square Enix Members site in the near future.
