Check out the Twin Sticks at TGS
Hori puts pricey peripheral on display at next week's show.
Wondering what a ¥30,000 peripheral looks like? If you're in the Tokyo area next week, you'll get a chance to find out as Hori puts its upcoming Twin Sticks EX peripheral on display at the Tokyo Game Show.
The latest post at the Virtual On official blog says that a prototype for the peripheral will be on display in the Hori booth in the sales corner of the show. This version of the peripheral is close to the final product, with the slanted front. The version of the peripheral shown at the blog last week (I've posted an image below) was from a previous prototype.
You won't be able to actually try out the device, unfortunately. Nor will you be able to actually buy the device. It's just for show.
The writer of the blog managed to get an advance glimpse of the TGS version of the peripheral, and his first impression was "It's Huge!!!". He says that thanks to the slanted base, the previous build just can't compare. Additionally, the packaging has gotten bigger.
If the box is big enough, maybe you won't feel so bad for having spent ¥30,000 on the thing.
