What's new in Xbox 360 Samurai Shodown Edge of Destiny.

That's not a question!

If this were XLA, the box art wouldn't be as pretty.

SNK Playmore announced a final release date for Samurai Spirits Sen earlier this week. In case you weren't keeping up, the big date is December 10, with the game going for a full ¥7,140.

Samurai Spirits Sen, which is powered in arcades by the Taito Type X2 board, is known in the English world as Samurai Shodown Edge of Destiny. Developed by Tenchu developer K2, the game sports full 3D visuals and a large cast of newcomer characters.

So what's new for 360 players? Famitsu.com provides some details in an article today.

Home players will be able to unlock the two boss characters, Golba and Draco. These two were CPU-only in the arcade, so those trying to get used to them in the home version will likely appreciate the added ability to view a skill list for your character when you pause the match.

Modes of play for the 360 version include versus, practice, survival, replay, and Xbox Live. Online functionality includes a viewer feature which lets you view other players while they spar, and the expected voice chat (I'm not sure why developers hype this when it's a standard 360 feature!).
